About Paula:
Paula Davis-Laack, J.D., is the founder of The Marie Elizabeth Company, LLC, whose mission it is to help attorneys, law students, and pre-law students find their right path via coaching, teleclasses, speaking engagements, articles and other products.
Paula graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–LaCrosse. She later received her law degree from Marquette University Law School and practiced commercial real estate law for seven years. Paula received her coach training from Coach University. Paula will be pursuing her master’s degree in positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania this fall.
Paula named her company after her grandmother, Marie Elizabeth Knippen O’Leary, who is one of her heroes. She wants the Marie Elizabeth brand to symbolize all of the positive traits that were her grandmother – hard work, service to others, and a passion to live life to the fullest.
Paula credits her daily walks with her golden retriever, Sadie, as the catalyst for her pursuit to find more meaning and direction in her life. She plans to talk about her transition from unhappy lawyer to ecstatic entrepreneur in her memoir, which she is currently writing. Paula and her husband Tom live in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
